Palais-Royal and the covered passages
The Parisians’ favorite spots for strolling and (window) shopping are the beautiful covered passages, mostly located from the Louvre area to the Grands Boulevards. And they are directly inspired from the Palais-Royal, a.k.a. the “capital of Paris” in the time of the French
Revolution and Napoleon Empire…

Île de la Cité
The birthplace of Paris has much more than the Notre-Dame cathedral: discover from one end to the other the 2000-year-old island!

Meeting point: Place du Châtelet (at the bottom of the Fontaine du Palmier), finish: pont Saint-Louis.

Montmartre
Why is Montmartre so famous and iconic? This village, located during centuries outside Paris on the highest hill, became in Van Gogh and Picasso’s time the place to be for bohemian artists from all over the world. Besides, both Parisians and tourists started enjoying its typical
cabarets and village vibes — not forgetting the view from the Sacré-Cœur church.

Meeting point: Place Blanche, finish: at the bottom of the Sacré-Cœur.

Latin Quarter
Dating back to the Roman Empire, this part of the city is the student neighborhood of Paris since the 13th century! From Roman ruins and the famous Sorbonne university to the Luxembourg Garden by way of Ernest Hemingway, you simply can’t miss the Latin Quarter.

Meeting point: Fontaine Jussieu, finish: Luxembourg Garden (near the Théâtre de l’Odéon).

Le Marais
The most Parisian neighborhood and the quintessence of the city for many: the most well-preserved area of the old city is also the trendiest! This is therefore in Le Marais that you find a great abundance of thrift stores, art galleries, perfumeries, coffee shops, museums… you
name it — not forgetting the famous Jewish quarter.

Meeting point: in front of the Paris Centre city hall (2, rue Eugène-Spuller), finish: Place des Vosges.
